Special Forces of The World

Who are the best special forces? These are the troops who carry out a large number of missions that rarely, if ever, make headlines. Most of these groups want to keep things quiet. This is a big deal, since they are relatively small forces containing very highly trained soldiers ? the training often takes years, and is done at a very high standard. For example, eight out of ten trying to become Air Force pararescuemen wash out at one point or another. While there are many special forces organizations in the world, the following are those that stand out in terms of quality and quantity.

The United States has a wide variety of special forces (nicknamed ?snake eaters?). One of the most famous, due to Hollywood portrayals, are the SEALs. The United States has about 2300 SEALs, divided among six SEAL Teams (with 50 platoons of 16 men between them), plus DEVGRU (the new designation for SEAL Team Six). SEAL Team One (8 platoons) covers Southeast Asia (including hot spots like Indonesia and the Philippines), and , SEAL Team Two (8 platoons) covers Europe (including the Balkans), SEAL Team Three (8 platoons) handles Southwest Asia (think the Arabian Peninsula and Iraq), SEAL Team Four (10 platoons) covers Central and South America (Colombia and Venezuela), SEAL Team Five covers the Northern Pacific (North Korea), and SEAL Team Eight covers the Caribbean, Med, and Africa (Nigeria). The manpower and structure of DEVGRU/SEAL Team Six is classified, but some estimates place the total of personnel in that group at 200. It has been mixed in with an administrative and tes ting section of 300 personnel.

The U.S. Army also has Special Forces, better known as the Green Berets. These are in seven groups (five active, two reserve), each with 1400 personnel. Each group has a total of fifty-four A teams, organized into three battalions, each with three companies (consisting of six A teams ? each with twelve men). These groups also have geographic assignments: The 1st Special Forces Group is assigned to Pacific Command (with a battalion in Okinawa), the 3rd Special Forces Group is assigned to European Command (specializing in Africa), the 5th Special Forces Group is assigned to Central Command, the 7th Special Forces Group is assigned to Southern Command, and the 10th Special Forces Group is assigned to European Command (with a battalion in Germany). The two reserve groups also work with various commands. The 19th Special Forces Group is assigned to Central and Pacific Commands, while the 20th is under Southern Command.

The British Special Air Service is one of the most well-known special operations groups. It got its start in World War II, when it carried out numerous missions in North Africa under David Stirling ? making life miserable for the Afrika Korps. The 22nd SAS is the active duty regiment, and has four ?Sabre? squadrons (A, B, D, and G Squadrons), each with 6 officers and 78 men. Two reserve SAS regiments also exist, the 21st (with A, C, and E Squadrons) and the 23rd (with A, B, and C squadrons). When support troops like the 264th Squadron (a communications unit) various headquarters units, and the retirees of R Squadron are added, that the SAS consists of about 1,000 men.

Not as well-known as the SAS, but even more selective, is the Special Boat Section (SBS). This unit consists of three squadrons (C, M, and S Squadrons) and is part of the Royal Marines. SBS members first must undergo SAS selection, then receive additional training in diving, photography, canoeing, and other skills. Among its operations include missions to convince Iraqi troops that amphibious landings were imminent in the 1991 liberation of Kuwait (a mission also performed by SEALs), the liberation of South Georgia during the Falklands War, and covert operations in Northern Ireland.

Germany also features superb special forces with a track record of success. The two major units are Grenzschutzgruppe 9 (GSG-9), and Kommando Spezialkrafte (KSK). GSG-9 is part of the German police, and was founded in the wake of the terrorist attack during 1972 Munich Olympics that left 11 Israeli athletes dead. It has about 250 men in its three main sub-groups, and among its successes were the recapture of hijacked airliners in 1977 and 1994. In its 1300 missions (many kept classified), there have been only four occasions where shots have been fired (the two confirmed incidents were the 1977 hostage-rescue of a Lufthansa airliner, and a 1993 shootout with two Red Army Faction terrorists). KSK is part of the Bundeswehr, and has 420 men in four fighting subgroups (out of a total of 1,000). Not much is known about their operations yet, but they have been deployed to Kosovo and Afghanistan.

This is not an exhaustive list, but these are probably the most famous of the groups out there. The SAS is probably the best of these groups, due to a long track record (since 1941) of making life miserable for bad guys from Nazi Germany to al-Qaeda. Special operations troops will be around for a long time ? often succeeding quietly.

Call Center Management Software The Upside

Call centers are one of the key customer contact points for most businesses today. It may be a customer contact center with incoming calls catering to product support, inquiries and services or one with outgoing calls intended for sales, active feedback collection and telemarketing. Irrespective of the business, the scale at which these call centers operate is huge! Handling the call classification, personnel program, information availability and quality control can get extremely chaotic. Like in every other field, here, too, automation has made the management of complex processes simpler and more efficient.

Call center management softwareCall center management software is designed to handle complex contact center operations and high call volume. Basically, it automates and standardizes the process of receiving and responding to customer phone calls, enabling better monitoring of the customer experience, evaluation of employee performance and workflow management.

The primary benefit of customer service management software, in particular, over traditional systems is that all relevant information, such as, contact information, problem and complaint records and service and support histories, is accessible on a single interface. This ensures that the call centre agent is equipped with a wide range of tools to assist the caller.

Stringent policies for customer engagement, work scheduling and demand are to be balanced with optimum utilization of resources. Collaboration via phone, e-mail and application sharing enable real-time information exchange and rapid issue resolution. Seamless database access, administration, and reporting applications help businesses to identify operational issues and take immediate action to solve them. Perfect integration to service and, consequently, to dispatch, as required, result in increasingly efficient process workflow. Therefore, customer service management software that enables users to perform these tasks is often referred to as work order software.

Work order software employs the policy of monitoring through all phases of the customer service workflow ensuring accountability at every stage. This aids in quality control, hierarchical escalation and maintaining focus on SLAs. Call center management software also provide views of historical data, allowing analysis of trends to establish performance benchmarks, and planning of new marketing or customer service campaigns. The ease of business-specific customization of reports and easy access to them make for more effective contact center management.

Last but not least, call center management software helps in increasing the opportunity for revenue growth by preparing agents for successful customer interactions with click-access to scripts, knowledge stores and parts inventories. Also, features like help desk and internal sales scripting result in quicker issue resolution, enabling service contracts and add-on merchandise sales as well as capture of cross-sell opportunities.

Call Center Inbound Calls

/page_builder.php?page=index.php

Our bilingual call center philosophies, coupled with strictly adhered to outsourcing polices and strategies, helps to create a high quality level of experience to the caller into our customer service center.

Every outsourced inbound call that enters the Costa Rican call center is judged for quality control and studied for maximum effectiveness for your BPO campaign, while striving to meet the customer relationship goals. Costa Ricas Call Center Call inbound calls are capable in delivering immediate value to the customer and profit to the North American organization that decides to pursue outsourcing jobs in Costa Rica.

Call center inbound calls can be directed to many different departments throughout the Costa Rican call center. A bilingual call center agents responsibility is to deal with building and maintaining customer relationships on every single call center inbound phone call. This can include IT, billing, invoicing, advertising, finance, marketing, services planning, maintenance and manufacturing. All outsourced call center inbound calls are affected by the clients own organization and their relationship with suppliers, vendors and distributors. All operating procedures in our call center must be aligned with the North American companys established practice to ensure a seamless transition of inbound customer service calls.

Call center inbound calls can be measured by several metrics known as key performance indicators that properly grade the performance of the bilingual call center agent and the entire outsourcing organization.

In comparison of using us to any other Costa Rican call center agent, they may answer an inbound call and just haphazardly read from a script, giving the impression that may not sound as sincere or genuine and may result in an upset customer. If a customer requires speaking with a call center supervisor or manager, non-expert call center operators will receive the inbound call and may improperly screen the caller to determine where to transfer the call and how to best confront the situation before escalation. When a call center agent is incompetent, untrained and incapable of fulfilling customers' requests effectively, the outsourced inbound call campaign solution will not be as effective as one that has policies and procedures in place, like Costa Ricas Call Center.

Call center inbound calls at an overseas location in the Far East or Asia with language and accent problems can greatly affect your call centers inbound call campaign success. More call center solutions located in India and the Philippines are very professional and cost effective, yet lack the ability to properly handle inbound customer service calls or outbound telemarketing campaigns in both English and Spanish. This aspect alone can impede your organizations growth into untapped Latino markets through out the Americas or utilizing a familiar accent shared by many North Americans.

Outsourcing to call centers have seen many customers complain when they make an inbound call into a call center and are immediately sent into an automated queuing system that sometimes result in excessively long hold times. Many inbound call center experiences are prone to frustration and unresolved issues that can result in revenue loss and less customer retention.

Outsourcing call center inbound calls to an organized bilingual Costa Rican center will eliminate the complaints that departments of call centers do not engage in communication with one another. The opportunity to assist a client during an inbound call lessens the chance of it being ruined by an unprepared call center agent.

Outsourcing call center management have produced several ways to improve call center inbound calls. The first call center solution would be to confront the common criticisms from call center staff and address them immediately for a mutually beneficial resolution.

Since Costa Ricas Call Center agents are closely scrutinized by call center management via frequent random call monitoring, they are ensured of improving their inbound call customer service skills. An innovative call center solution which helps to increase employee morale and their call techniques is to offer a solid pay check and the potential of well deserved bonuses if they comply with the Costa Rican call centers quality control and performance levels. An effective call center outsourcing solution in Costa Rica is to have strictly adhered to outsourcing work practices and BPO procedures. This will require call center agents to follow a pre-written inbound call script so that all inbound calls are identical and the quality remains high for the customer and call center client.

In today's outsourcing world it is becoming more difficult to find top quality customer service. In most cases with call center inbound calls, you get a call center agent on the phone who sounds as if they don't care about the customers needs, are not properly trained and have a strong accent that is very difficult to understand. Costa Ricas Call Center agents pride themselves on using a pleasant speaking voice on every inbound customer service call. In addition, Costa Rican call center agents have been noted for their strong command of correct English. Call center telemarketing training focuses on the fact that from the moment you receive an inbound call and are speaking with an individual with whom you have no rapport, you speak clearly, slowly and use proper grammar.

Call center inbound calls are judged immediately by the initial greeting. All Costa Ricas Call Center agents are trained to greet the inbound caller with respect and attentiveness. This highly professional inbound call greeting does three things for the bilingual call center agent; it thanks the customer immediately, it introduces you and it offers your assistance for whatever they called in about. With proper attention to detail, a call center inbound call can produce more clients and increase the outsourcing companys bottom line. Another import aspect of an inbound call is to have the call center agent be as knowledgeable as possible with the outsourced campaign. One call center solution to increase the agents knowledge base is by reading about the clients product and/or company prior to starting the campaign as well as updating their knowledge between taking inbound customer service calls. It is not good to only use the time that the call center agents is "on the clock" to perfect their craft. This simple call center solution will boost the confidence of the call center agent and will make the call center inbound call go even more smoothly.

In today's highly competitive outsourcing market, a closer proximity to the United States , Central Time Zone and Spanish language capability as an added value are now considered almost basic requirements when making a decision on what call center to use for your important project. Leaving this to chance is not even an option anymore. Many of the offshore call center agents are bilingual in their native Middle Eastern or Asian language which is difficult to the North American ear. Whereas Spanish is more useful and practical as a second language for potential untapped markets throughout the North, Central and South American populations as well as those countries where Spanish is either a primary or secondary language.

We encourage you to visit one of our call centers on your next personal vacation or business trip to Central America's paradise, Costa Rica. While you are here, we would recommend taking an extra day of your trip to visit breathtaking virgin beaches, play golf next to the ocean, try your luck at deep sea fishing, explore tropical jungles, climb a volcano or just relax in natural hot springs. Come and see for yourself why call center outsourcing in Costa Rica is a perfect solution for your growing company and a powerhouse in the BPO industry.

Software as a Service (Saas) Advantages

Overview

The popularity of cloud computing deserves a discussion of what comprises the services and value proposition for today's businesses that want to be more profitable. Cloud computing takes the concept of managed services and adds new Web-based applications called software as a service (SaaS) and services infrastructure and virtualized SAN storage and data center services. In addition to new application development time is reduced with web-based applications that can be easily customized. There are also a variety of cloud services such as security, performance monitoring, application monitoring and desktop management. So why do companies want to adopt this new architecture and model of service delivery? The answer is, of course, more profitable and reduce time to deploy new applications and services. There is an economy of scale that makes this an effective solution. Many Silicon Valley companies such as Google now offering SaaS.

Software as a Service (Saas)

As mentioned, SaaS is becoming a new fashion industry. That allows thousands of companies to access web based applications through and on the Internet. The benefit is the cost of development without the infrastructure costs, reduced support costs and no license fees. Employees of any particular company can use its instance of the application at any time, in a muti-client network, and be assured of high quality and network security. The cloud provider uses VPN and private VLAN (PVLAN) to segment the traffic of the company and ensure network security and privacy. That is web-based allows employees to run applications from anywhere at any time with a common web browser. The support of the ease, simplicity and a platform for web based applications to SaaS attractive. SaaS costs are based on a competitive subscription fee to access the software.

Application Development

The cost of developing new applications that consume and the time is amazing. Use of the API of a service provider in the cloud minimizes development time and delivery of web-based application for employees. For example, PayCom provides APIs for payroll processing. Payroll is a common application in all businesses and an effective place to begin to decrease administrative costs.

Infrastructure Services on demand

This is much older style of managed hosting, for example, and offers companies a fast, personalized on demand services like Data Center. You may decide, for example, to take advantage of the cloud provider online managed SAN storage servers and networking equipment. The cloud vendors have designed a secure network environment with centralized support 24 / 7 network and performance monitoring. His I. T staff do not have to worry about performance monitoring, change management, problem solving and application management. The centralized security providers cloud makes management easier and more efficient devices.

Service as a Service (SEAS)

Well, I just named, but the name more or less describes what it is - focused service. Most of this is what is traditionally called network management. Some of the services as mentioned include network security and performance monitoring, desktop and application management. In fact, a discharge of a service or part of a service provider cloud. The security service may be monitoring firewall and virus and anti-spam management. Performance and application monitoring are key components of any strategy for managing the company. All companies now control their network environment, along with how devices are performing. The cost of a new network management software and employees to take time to learn how to implement it can be very expensive.

Before deciding what software and services are viable candidates for migration to the cloud, companies must consider the cost-effectiveness of the implementation of cloud services. Compare the cost structure of SaaS with the current capital and operating costs over the existing IT staff skills, the long-term goals of the business, as well as specific security aspects of the company.

Each time you use a third party service, consider what the implications are to protect your data? Will the data be encrypted? How to integrate computing in the cloud with the company planning to disaster recovery (DRP) strategy? Does the cloud provider with a robust architecture that ensures network availability DRP its software and services for the cuts they have?

Note that there will be an increase in traffic through their Internet links and you might have to adjust the settings of bandwidth or network design. No more capacity to your enterprise data center and, possibly, but through other WAN circuits. Make sure also that your safety is well designed from the company to the cloud provider, knowing that the software and services that are accessed from the desktop via Internet.
