An Easy Shopping Cart Software Will Work Well With Proper Planning

Basically a whole lot of things will work well with proper planning if you ask me. For those who are keen to use an easy shopping cart software to build your online store, it will serve you well to do some proper planning before you jump into it.

What Do You Need?

Have an outline of your online business. This will include what you would like to sell and where you are going to find the products. Will you be using a drop ship company or will you use different suppliers? And what is the benchmark price that you want to sell your products for? Are the type of products that you are planning to sell in high demand currently? If they are not, then you may want to consider looking for niche markets. You will also need to have your own company name and logo created. And to accept payment from customers, you need to have your own payment gateway account created.

What Happens When You Don't Plan?

You will probably just choose whichever ecommerce shopping cart that you think looks good and then try to look for all the missing bits and pieces of product information to upload. Or you could be trying to figure out how to even use the software and bump around all the place clueless as ever. This is just wasting time. If you have all your stuff lined up and ready, the moment you sign up for the free trial period with the shopping cart, you could start uploading all your files and details. If done properly and in an organized manner, you could have your online store up within a few days all ready to start selling.

Make Use Of Free Trial Periods

While many shopping cart software providers offer free trial periods for users to try out their software, this is also an excellent opportunity for you to find out how well their software works. And if you have all your stuff ready, it could take you only a few days to create your entire online store with their solution. So make full use of the free trial periods that are offered to build your online store quickly. If you are not satisfied with the first few that you have picked, then move on to try the others. You could target the popular ones first.

Summary

So an easy shopping cart software will work really well if you have all your stuff planned out properly. Saves you time and you'll know what you need to get done in a systematic manner.

Watch Out For These Danger Signs When Choosing An Easy Shopping Cart Software

Before you decide on which easy shopping cart software to choose to build your online store, you may want to consider watching out for these danger signs.

Free Now?

You may come across a few shopping cart software that is completely 'free'. The truth of the matter is that nothing is really free out there. What I have discovered is that the shopping cart software may be free but you may want to check whether you are able to use all the features that is important for the running of your online store or not. Or do you have to end up paying to use different features on a monthly basis? That would be more troublesome and it could end up costing you more money in the long run.

Really Cheap?

Other than getting something free, most people would try to look for cheap shopping cart software to use. Now this would be reasonable if not for the fact that you may end up getting less profit. Check to make sure that the service provider does not take a chunk out of your profit whenever a customer makes a purchase from your store. If your store has a lot of sales, then the service provider ends up making quite a lump sum from part of your profits. I would advise that you go for an ecommerce shopping cart that does not take any percentage from your payment transactions. That way you could keep your profits since you are going to pay the service provider a monthly subscription fee.

It Costs To Ask For Help

When setting up your own online store, you may encounter a bunch of problems which will require you to contact the shopping cart provider's technical support team or customer service. Please check to ensure that the cart you are planning to use does not charge you for contacting their technical support. You do not want to be caught off guard and end up having to pay more money for asking for help from them. Which by the way, is rather ridiculous since you are already paying a monthly subscription fee to them. Clarifying this will save you a lot of headaches in the long run as you will need to contact technical support for help some way or another to clarify stuff.

Summary

These are just some of the danger signs that I could warn new online users or merchants to watch out for before they choose any shopping cart software to use. It's not only the pricing that you need to consider but all the other nifty things that these providers may want to charge you for that could really add up later on.

The Food Network Serves Up Smart Branding

Behind the kitchens at the Food Network, they’ve been cooking up some vey savvy branding - for the Network as as well as for its individual hosts.

Rachael Ray and Sandra Lee are the two biggest brands. The way they are mareketed
provides a good branding lesson: you can occupy the same positioning within a niche, yet own a distinctive brand that sets you apart.

Distinct Brands with the Same Positioning
The positioning these two stars occupy is one of authority in home-making convenience: quick and easy, quality meal preparation for busy women (mostly). Yet each has been able to carve out a separate and distinct brand within that same space.

Taglines that Build Brands
Rachel Ray’s empire is build on the foundation of her very emphatic tagline – “30 minute meals.” The name says it all. Sandra Lee’s tagline is “semi-homemade meals” - preparing meals with the aid of pre-packaged ingredients.

It is essentially the same positioning, but without the exact time period that Ray uses. The implication is the same: you’ll be able to prepare quality meals at home faster.

While both have been able to establish an authority position within the convenience field, interestingly, their authority does not come from industry credentials. The sense of authority they have been able to build comes from their unique personalities and presentation, as well as their individual stories.
They learned how to cook on their own, either because they had to (in Lee’s case) or as in Ray’s case, her mother was in the food service business, and an avid cook

Leveraging a Brand Into Multiple Products
Both have been been able to leverage their brands to create and promote multiple products. Some of Lee’s branded products include: Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade Cooking, Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade Desserts, Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade Cooking II, Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade Grilling … she even ventures into Rachael Ray’s turf with Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade 20-Minute Meals.

Rachael Ray’s branded product line includes cookbooks, such as 30-Minute Meals, 30-Minute Meals 2, Rachael Ray's 30-Minute Meals: Cooking 'Round the Clock,
Rachael Ray's 30-Minute Meals for Kids: Cooking Rocks!, Rachael Ray's 30-Minute Get Real Meals: Eat Healthy Without Going to Extremes, among others.

And because both of their brands have been established in a highly scalable niche – home convenience, they have been able to easily grow their product lines beyond food, into the further reaches of home-making, on TV, in print, etc. (Lee actually started her brand in the home-making field and then went into food).

Finding Different Marketing Angles Within the Same Niche
In their products as well as in their shows, their distinctive personalities, look, and style etc. further differentiates their brands from one another. But the difference is built on a foundation of strong taglines that embody unique marketing angles within the same niche: 30 minute meals vs semi-homemade.

The lesson here is just because someone else may have established an authority positioning in a niche you want, doesn’t mean you can’t create a different, yet successful brand within the same space.

However attempts to copy or merely imitate a brand within a niche position will not only fail, it will mark you as inauthentic. You need to be able to take unique angle so you can carve out your own space within the niche you want.

The Road to the Food Network May Begin in Alabama Culinary Arts Education

Do you drool over the delectable dishes made by your favorite celebrity chefs on The Food Network? Many people watch those shows and wonder how those chefs got so lucky as to find themselves in a position where they work in amazing kitchens, cook their own set of recipes and get paid to be seen doing it all on television. How exactly does one go from an Alabama culinary arts program to a Hollywood kitchen? It's not magic. It takes hard work, dedication to developing a culinary career and a little bit of charisma. It's something that anyone can do if they set their minds to it but only a few ever get motivated enough to make it so far.

The first place to start is getting an education in cooking. Perhaps not all of the chefs on The Food Network went to a culinary arts program but most of them did. If you looked at their resumes, you'd find that it didn't matter whether they went to a well-known chef school in a city like New York or to an Alabama culinary arts sch ool that few had heard of. The point is that they started the classes, finished the program and learned everything that they could along the way. Someone who is going to make it all the way to The Food Network has to be committed to taking advantage of every lesson that is offered both inside and out of the classroom.

Education alone won't suffice, though. You also will need to get experience in the real world. Most chefs work their way up the ladder. They start out as assistants. Eventually, they become the head chef of a nice kitchen. From there, they move up to running the kitchen in a better restaurant. And these days, they may go from there to a position on a television show where they can just cook without having to serve anybody at all. They are willing to start at the bottom but they also make active efforts to move up. You have to know when it's time to say enough is enough and take the next leap up that ladder.

As you're out there getting this education and experience in the culinary arts world, you should be networking with as many people as possible. Leave a lasting impression on the chefs who teach the classes that lead to your degree. Remember to go the extra mile to make sure that bosses at all levels of the job remember who you are. The food that you cook is important but the connections that you make are what will often get you the jobs that you desire. You should make it a point to network at events and meet influential people in the food business. Make sure that you're attending some events, which are related to food on television so that you can build up your connections in that specific area.

What all of these different steps have in common is that you have to have confidence in yourself to make them work. If you're the kind of person who thinks, having an Alabama culinary arts degree is one that no one is going to care about, you'll sabotage your chance at starring on food TV before you eve n get started. If you decide that you'll make the most of each opportunity and use it to show off your unique talents, you're already a star. The people who have celebrity personalities are the ones that will be able to combine their love for cooking with their desire for a spot in the spotlight.

LATEST FOOD & BEVERAGE TRENDS-Food network– Social networking has made the world a smaller and better placeWith Multiply, Friendster, My Space and

Food network Social networking has made the world a smaller and better place. With Multiply, Friendster, My Space and with the explosion of Face book, more and more people are reconnecting. Eventually a lot of chefs, cooks and foodies signed up and started exchanging recipes. It is possible now to share recipes, techniques and information with people around the world. It then follows thatFood Social Networking will be the next best thing. Grocery shoppers will be dependent on social networking more than advertising to help them to decide on where to buy and where to eat. A kind of social currency, as the blogosphere has anchored itself as a major word-of-mouth avenue. Gourmet and gastronomy will no longer be an exclusive club for foodies.

Franken food With the latest technologies in bioengineering, it is now possible to come closer to that utopia of the perfect food supply. We should be expecting more consistent food crops, and therefore better quality ingredients. But this has its own sets of controversies. On the other end of the spectrum, the nutritional aspect of food production and consumption will definitely be looked at more closely.

Green Advocacy Consumers are now more than ever aware of the consequences for irresponsible production practices. Tree huggers were right all along. Now the rest of us are catching up. We now look for ingredients, products, restaurants and food and beverage manufacturing that translate into environmental responsibility, efficiency and cost management. It is expected the demand for produce that are treated with little or no chemicals, safe manufacturing practices and sustainable production will increase. More emphasis will be put on local produce which do not require huge transportation expenses. With this, we could expect the rise of celebrity farmers making headway in local production, as well as the interest to have a home garden. We would now know more about seasonality, about the importance freshness. There will be more restaurants trying to get green certified' to attract the growing number of clientele who are environmentally conscious.

Healthy convenience Convenience stores will be packing more healthy options on its menus. Additional channels of distribution will be evident as more and more are adopting the grab-and-go lifestyle and looking for healthy alternatives. Quick lunches that pack the nutritional punch will be readily available, in environmentally safe packaging! Copy cat competition will have independent and chain restaurants to adopt new menu items that have been top sellers at competitors. Donut shops are now going into the smoothie business. The smoothie bar will now be incorporating gourmet burgers. Cupcakes will be popping up ridiculously in every nook and corner. Soon there will be so much noise, differentiation will muddle out the true identity of the dining experience. Soon the phrase jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none' will prosper.

Back to simplicity With the recession affecting the globe, what did we discover? Simple sells. Chefs and restaurants now are capitalizing on the power of classic combinations and pure ingredients. Mad Men has tickled the Baby Boomer's fancy, so expect a return to Mama's home cooking. Rustic' will replace molecular gastronomy' as the new buzzword. Foodservice operators have been having success with retro menu itemsthings that people grew up with. From a culinary perspective, however, many operators have been able to add a unique twist to these timeless favorites.

The Offal Truth In order to control food costs, savvy chefs and restaurateurs are looking at these odd parts to offset the expensive steaks and chops. Expect specials on tongue and oxtail along with beef and pork cheeks, chicken gizzards, tripe, and other innards and odd parts. Oxtail Ravioli? Beef Cheek in red wine reduction?

Tart it up Restaurateurs are noticing a trend.we need more zing, more pop to what we eat. By next year, restaurant menus will be featuring a balance in sour, salty and sweet sensations, in the form of pickled vegetables, the rise of Ethnic cooking and exotic flavors. Sugar and spice and everything nice will get it's second serving in the spotlight. Extreme flavors will gain ground. Moody Food that make claims relating to improved mood and emotional wellbeing will represent thenext generation of functional products.

Food Network Wii Game

I received the Nintendo Wii for my birthday and within a few minutes for setting up the equipment; I was bowling, golfing, playing baseball, tennis and also boxing.Best Wii Tools Click here My husband, George, quickly became interested and before long we were competing in all the activities that came with my first Wii game; Wii Sports. In no time at all, I was addicted and George is right behind.

Exercise was never my cup of tea, however, I know the importance of exercising and I found that the Nintendo Wii got me off the couch, out of the kitchen, and moving. Each activity can be done alone or along with others for as long as you want. Just a television and a small (3+ ft.) uncluttered area in front, plus the Nintendo equipment is all that is needed. The Wii Sports gives you the sensation and movements of swinging, hitting, and throwing like a natural pro. After playing the Wii Sports, I put the Wii Fit Plus on my Christmas list and was so happy to see it under our Christmas tree. The technology, animation, and realistic sounds make this a fun way for exercising, improving balance, and toning muscles with Yoga, Strength Training, Balance Games, and Aerobic activities. You can target the exercises to your own personal fitness goals and capabilities. At the very start of the program you take a body test, just by standing on the balance board, which is part of the Wii Plus equipment, and get measurements of your BMI (body mass index), your center of balance, and fitness level which will determine your Wii Fit Age.

There are many games and accessories that can be purchased for the Nintendo Wii that the whole family can enjoy. In fact, this past November, Nintendo Wii added a new game, Food Network Cook or Be Cooked, which includes recipes, techniques and tips from the Food Network Kitchens.

Food Network - Everyone's Show

As cable and satellite tv emerges, there has been many favorable programs to watch, so many interesting things to learn. One great channel for food lovers is food network- a channel with great celebrity chefs giving out the best food recipes while making the viewer's mouth water.

From the time that the legendary chef Julia Child came on, food network became very popular to viewers. One can never ask for anything else in this channel with amazing recipes and celebrity chefs that do the cooking. The concept is really fantastic, a channel that touches on food; endless recipes from unusual to simple dishes that airs 24 hours a day. It helps the viewers realize all wonderful things about food, their value and what they can do to our health.

The channel is made up of other wonderful chef personalities and one of my favorites is Rachael Ray. You'll notice that she is often in a good mood and smiles while introducing a new recipe. Emeril is one of the most popular American celebrity chefs, combining both celebrity guestings and music. He has a vast, incredible knowledge when it comes to food and loves to have fun during the show.

Good Eats hosted by Alton Brown is an entertaining show with all the unique style of sharing awesome dish recipes. You will probably know the things you've never learned before so sit back and enjoy. Paula Deen's southern style is more of an affectionate and warm food show for it has the objective of bringing friends and loved ones together by sharing a tasty meal. In this channel, everyone will find a show that will go with their own motives and goals in life.

The website of food network is helpful in a sense that you can always look unto this site to see something that you've missed on television. All the recipes shown on the actual videos are listed in their website and their online stores offer complete cooking utensils and informative cookbooks.

Watch Latest Movie Trailers Online

Watching movies is perhaps the greatest pastime of the world. It is a hugely popular pastime that has practically the entire world hooked on to it. The movie industry in its about a hundred years of existence has become one of the most booming of all industries. This is because the audio visual media has the greatest capacity of capturing the attention of the audience among all types of media. It is easy to immerse oneself in a movie and get away from the rest of the world for quite some time. Movies are thus a great form of entertainment and an equally delightful way of relaxation.

After having a successful run in theaters and drive-ins and on television, movie disks and computers, movies have now breached the intangible peripheries of the World Wide Web. This has added an entirely new dimension to the movie watching business. You now get, courtesy the latest servers with millions and millions of gigabytes of storage space, an unlimited collection of movies including all the titles that ever were produced. As a result you can watch practically any movie and at any time you choose.

With the basic hardware and software supported by a fast internet connection, you can have a great movie watching experience. Go for a computer with good hard rive space, memory, a wide TFT screen of good resolution, superior audio and video drivers, 5.1 speakers that reproduce Dolby sound and the latest software like Adobe Flash Player, DivX, Vlc, Windows Media Player, Quick Time player and Real Media Player. Then the only thing you are left with is to find good sites that stream movies. There you can either watch entire movies or watch latest movie trailers online trailers of movies that are currently playing in the theatres or will be soon released.
Streaming is the technology that websites use to play movies. With this technology a movie can be played on users computer while it is being delivered from the storing server. This reduces the time of download and the movie can start playing the moment the downloading starts. This also reduces the amount of storage space needed on the users computers to play the movies as the movie is not being stored in heavy file formats on their computers.

Often it happens to us that we visi t a theater to watch a movie only to find that it is greatly against our viewing preferences and so are left with dissatisfaction at having had to spend time and money unnecessarily. Movie disks cost a lot as well and are usually more expensive than cinema hall tickets. So it is a great thing to be able to have a sneak peak at the movie before making the investment. Once you watch latest movie trailers online, you can decide if you want to watch the entire film and buy the DVD or buy a ticket to a theater where it is being shown you can do it right then on the internet. That is of course very convenient.

So, in order to save on valuable time and money watch latest movie trailers online.

MLM Training – Knowledge is Power

When it comes to building an MLM business, the old saying about Knowledge is Power is absolutely true. It's not enough though to simply gain the required knowledge. You must then utilize that knowledge by taking massive action. Building a successful network marketing business takes a lot of hard work but without first acquiring the knowledge and learning how to do things properly; many new distributors waste a lot of time and energy without getting any results.

It is absolutely essential that you take a few good MLM Training courses before venturing too deep into your network marketing business. A good knowledge base is a definite requirement for success in network marketing and a good MLM Training program can provide this foundation. As hard as it is to believe, it really is true that anyone can be successful in network marketing. All that is required is some basic knowledge, easily acquired through widely available MLM Training courses and some effort.

Many of the most successful people in any industry got to the top by staying focused on their goal and working really hard. They also were usually dedicated to improving their knowledge and skills. In order for you to have success, you must make this same commitment. You will be able to make a decent long term income by learning and applying the basics but if you are aiming to be a top income earner, you will need to be always expanding your knowledge, though MLM Training courses. And as always, you must apply what you have learned to your business.

Another important element that will ensure your long term success is your ability to train and mentor your new members. This might even be more important than your own education. It's obviously not practical for you to do everything for them, so you must get them working independently as quickly as possible. The sooner your new members are self-sufficient and generating some income, the more likely they are to stay involved in the business and contribute to your business growth. You can help them by either developing MLM training courses for your group or find a good MLM Training program for them.

Your business will benefit even further from your role in providing MLM Training and development as this will enhance your position as a leader. This will enable you to attract even more prospects and you will have a much easier time enrolling them when you are positioned as a leader and mentor to so many other members. As your new members learn the required skills and being building up their businesses, they will teach the same techniques to their new members. Or they will refer their new members to the same MLM Training they took. This training cycle will ensure that all new people entering your group will be able to develop quickly into productive members. Once people are able to start generating some income from their network marketing business, they will rarely quit or become disinterested. This high retention rate will ensure that your business continues to grow and prosper.

Bearing Knowledge Is Power

It has often been said that knowledge is power. This is especially true in the design and servicing of power transmission systems. Utilizing the knowledge of recent advances in bearing design and manufacturing technology provides a cost-effective ability to increase power handling capability or product life in both original equipment and service replacement applications.

The term "power density" is commonly used to describe this concept of applying technology enhancements to maximize performance (life and power thruput) within a minimum space or within an existing system. For example, one manufacturer recently optimized his pinion bearing and shaft design to increase system life by 39 percent, reduce weight by 8 percent and reduce costs by 20 percent. Power density has also enabled service replacement bearings to increase life and improve system performance without modification to the existing bearing envelope or support design.
It should be understood that to effectively decrease equipment downtime, reduce regular service/replacement intervals and increase overall system life requires one to first identify the weak link of the given system's performance chain of core components, namely bearings, gears, shafts, seals, lubrication, etc. Here the design and application of "enhanced" or customized tapered roller bearings, as well as CBN ground gears, profiled gear teeth, light weight (aluminum) or high strength housings, and synthetic lubricants, can typically have a significant effect on maximizing the performance potential and power density of a power transmission system.

One major objective of higher power density is to improve service life. Achieving this objective for bearings requires minimizing fatigue damage in its three primary modes:
Minimizing Bearing Damage

* Inclusion-A fatigue crack starts just below the raceway surface at a nonmetallic inclusion (micro impurity) and propagates to the surface.
* Geometric Stress Concentration-Damage occurs in a localized region of high stress at the raceway edges due to high rolling loads and misalignment.
* Point Surface Origin-Damage originates at a localized, high-stress point on the raceway surface, typically caused by insufficient lubricant film thickness separating the bearing surfaces.

Act Now to Convert Your Knowledge Into Power

For centuries it has been said that knowledge is power.
Is this really true? I do not believe so.
Let me start by saying that knowledge is a necessity and
Can be extremely valuable, but it is not power. Having
Knowledge merely gives you the power to make good decisions
And there by act on those decisions.
Ah, the real power is in ACTION.
Let me give you an example. If you are sitting on some
Railroad tracks and a train is coming your way, it is not
Enough to know that you should move off the tracks you
Have to get off the tracks. You must take action. You
See, without action, knowledge is worthless.
It doesn't matter what knowledge you acquire or how much
Of it you gain on a particular subject, it is useless
Until you take action.

Think about it! Will reading
And learning everything there is to know about being a
Glamorous movie star makes you one? Of course not
I am not saying that you should not learn new things.
It is imperative to have knowledge in order to be able to
Take action. Nowadays, you need a college degree just to
Get an entry level job but it in no way gets you any Type of promotion or better paying job they are
Facing increasing competition from multimedia software
Companies and particularly the Internet
Unless the big publishers can find a book that is going to
Sell by the thousands; they are unwilling to bring the book
To life....irrespective of the quality of the manuscript!
If you decide to self-publish you are then faced with the
Challenges of running a business, writing, printing,
Marketing and selling your book.

Will you be able to find
Any time to write your next one
If you decide that selling on the Internet is a good move
Due to the fact that you can reach a global audience
Relatively cheaply and you are not involved in printing hard
Copies, liaising with book distributors, and printing
Marketing collateral, then this article will help you on the
Road to becoming an established online author.
Through experience,
Showing that you c an take what you have learned and put it
Into practice is what gets you a promotion or raise.
Many highly educated people are working in menial jobs,
While we have millionaires that don't even have a high school
Diploma how can this be?

Very simply, even though they
Did not excel in academics, they did excel at taking action,
Trying new things, experimenting, learning through experience
How does all this apply to you? If you truly want to succeed,
You must first acquire a bit of knowledge, but most importantly
You must take what you know and act on it. Any time to write your next one
If you decide that selling on the Internet is a good move
Due to the fact that you can reach a global audience
Relatively cheaply and you are not involved in printing hard
Copies, liaising with book distributors, and printing
Marketing collateral, then this article will help you on the
Road to becoming an esta blished online author.

Through experience,
Showing that you can take what you have learned and put it
Into practice is what gets you a promotion or raise.
Eagerly and ambitiously act on what you have learned and
You will succeed.

Online Dating for Friendship and Love

Online dating is become great tool for many people to make friends or to find dream dating partner. Lots of online dating sites are available to get various dating services. The only thing that a person has to do make an account, communicate with other site members and pick up the right partner. However its not as easy because there are lots of online dating sites are their so you need to properly make selection of dating site.

However picking a perfect dating site required careful attention. The best way is to take help of review site. Reviews site basically provides the reviews of different dating site so you can compare different dating site and also get details of which type of dating facilities are provided by different dating sites. This will make you understand the real nature of a site. At the same time, you will learn about the various pros and cons of the online dating.

The second best option is to use free dating site. There are many free dating site available which provide free service for basic account. However if you want to get full services and facilities from dating site then you have to pay money. So first registered as basic user and get some idea about the site. If you feel that site perfect then go for premium membership. In my opinion this is the best way to select dating site. Once you have chosen your dating site start making friends.

Online dating sites offers various services like single dating, adult dating, gay dating sites, Christian dating, and Jewish dating etc. so properly define which type of people you are looking for. This will save your time and you will quickly find the person of same interest. Dating site also provide search option where you can find people from particular, city, age and gender. Another major advantage of the internet dating service is the fact that you can always keep a safe distance from the strangers.

Remember one thing if you are looking f or long term relation and love then go for single dating. However if you are looking for no string attached relationship the go for adult dating because lots of people are available in adult dating for NSA fun. Last but very important thing do not reveal any personal contact information in online dating site.

When Matchmaking for Friendship and Love

The way towards attaining love and developing viable friendship ties is marred by uncertainties and factors that most people have no control of. Friendship is a factor in socialization that just makes or breaks your inherent morale. You cannot be having viable friendships and fail in the art of love. Its simple as that. You cannot also have a person to love and fail in the art of friendship. Friendship is something that you have that will always follows you in the ways of endearment. This is what every matchmaking service has ascertained as the beginning of every good and viable service. It is that clear.

However, the issue of friendship and love has been one of controversy, since there have been people that have taken the ideology of love and friendship to a greater height. You cannot have love without friendship, since love is the highest point of friendship. The first thing that you do when you have met that person you have loved with your heart is make some love grow. Love doesnt grow on trees or on an empty ground. It is a consequence of people liking each other and determining something that runs deeper than friendship.

Matchmaking service providers have come to cherish the fact that you cannot enjoy love without having a friendship that is mature and true. You talk to a person through being friendly, because you will not fall in love in the first instance if you dont find something that connects the two of you. Friendships are created after the parties have found a common ground between them, something that transcends their fetishes. It is from mere talk that actions leading to more connection are carried out. You will realize that you are moving a step at a time as you make your friendship have a meaning and change your lives.

Generally, it is through friendship that a matchmaking service reaches its best level of making two people fall in love. The first thing they try to stress is that you first fi nd that common ground that both of you can tread without a big problem. The common ground is that inherent factor that makes you realize you have something in common that makes you want to make the best out of a mere meeting. You realize the two of you want to forge a friendship because you are able to talk about different issues freely and strongly, without any adverse factor cropping up to hijack the effort.

A matchmaking service that knows how to make you meet many people has a specific service of making friends. Within it, you are able to meet people who are after friendship in a mature way. It is the best place to begin the process of falling in love, since it is after you have ascertained how much you have many things in common that you are able to trust a person the more and start something serious.

Special Forces of The World

Who are the best special forces? These are the troops who carry out a large number of missions that rarely, if ever, make headlines. Most of these groups want to keep things quiet. This is a big deal, since they are relatively small forces containing very highly trained soldiers ? the training often takes years, and is done at a very high standard. For example, eight out of ten trying to become Air Force pararescuemen wash out at one point or another. While there are many special forces organizations in the world, the following are those that stand out in terms of quality and quantity.

The United States has a wide variety of special forces (nicknamed ?snake eaters?). One of the most famous, due to Hollywood portrayals, are the SEALs. The United States has about 2300 SEALs, divided among six SEAL Teams (with 50 platoons of 16 men between them), plus DEVGRU (the new designation for SEAL Team Six). SEAL Team One (8 platoons) covers Southeast Asia (including hot spots like Indonesia and the Philippines), and , SEAL Team Two (8 platoons) covers Europe (including the Balkans), SEAL Team Three (8 platoons) handles Southwest Asia (think the Arabian Peninsula and Iraq), SEAL Team Four (10 platoons) covers Central and South America (Colombia and Venezuela), SEAL Team Five covers the Northern Pacific (North Korea), and SEAL Team Eight covers the Caribbean, Med, and Africa (Nigeria). The manpower and structure of DEVGRU/SEAL Team Six is classified, but some estimates place the total of personnel in that group at 200. It has been mixed in with an administrative and tes ting section of 300 personnel.

The U.S. Army also has Special Forces, better known as the Green Berets. These are in seven groups (five active, two reserve), each with 1400 personnel. Each group has a total of fifty-four A teams, organized into three battalions, each with three companies (consisting of six A teams ? each with twelve men). These groups also have geographic assignments: The 1st Special Forces Group is assigned to Pacific Command (with a battalion in Okinawa), the 3rd Special Forces Group is assigned to European Command (specializing in Africa), the 5th Special Forces Group is assigned to Central Command, the 7th Special Forces Group is assigned to Southern Command, and the 10th Special Forces Group is assigned to European Command (with a battalion in Germany). The two reserve groups also work with various commands. The 19th Special Forces Group is assigned to Central and Pacific Commands, while the 20th is under Southern Command.

The British Special Air Service is one of the most well-known special operations groups. It got its start in World War II, when it carried out numerous missions in North Africa under David Stirling ? making life miserable for the Afrika Korps. The 22nd SAS is the active duty regiment, and has four ?Sabre? squadrons (A, B, D, and G Squadrons), each with 6 officers and 78 men. Two reserve SAS regiments also exist, the 21st (with A, C, and E Squadrons) and the 23rd (with A, B, and C squadrons). When support troops like the 264th Squadron (a communications unit) various headquarters units, and the retirees of R Squadron are added, that the SAS consists of about 1,000 men.

Not as well-known as the SAS, but even more selective, is the Special Boat Section (SBS). This unit consists of three squadrons (C, M, and S Squadrons) and is part of the Royal Marines. SBS members first must undergo SAS selection, then receive additional training in diving, photography, canoeing, and other skills. Among its operations include missions to convince Iraqi troops that amphibious landings were imminent in the 1991 liberation of Kuwait (a mission also performed by SEALs), the liberation of South Georgia during the Falklands War, and covert operations in Northern Ireland.

Germany also features superb special forces with a track record of success. The two major units are Grenzschutzgruppe 9 (GSG-9), and Kommando Spezialkrafte (KSK). GSG-9 is part of the German police, and was founded in the wake of the terrorist attack during 1972 Munich Olympics that left 11 Israeli athletes dead. It has about 250 men in its three main sub-groups, and among its successes were the recapture of hijacked airliners in 1977 and 1994. In its 1300 missions (many kept classified), there have been only four occasions where shots have been fired (the two confirmed incidents were the 1977 hostage-rescue of a Lufthansa airliner, and a 1993 shootout with two Red Army Faction terrorists). KSK is part of the Bundeswehr, and has 420 men in four fighting subgroups (out of a total of 1,000). Not much is known about their operations yet, but they have been deployed to Kosovo and Afghanistan.

This is not an exhaustive list, but these are probably the most famous of the groups out there. The SAS is probably the best of these groups, due to a long track record (since 1941) of making life miserable for bad guys from Nazi Germany to al-Qaeda. Special operations troops will be around for a long time ? often succeeding quietly.

Signs You Are Boring Someone

7 Silent Signs That You May Be Boring Someone

I urge you to develop an essential element of Emotional Intelligence -- Have Social Awareness. This includes knowing how you're being perceived by others. Do you know when someone finds you (yikes!) boring?

As someone who speaks for a living, I can assure you that *many* people have missed some crucial signs that others have mentally tuned them out because the speaker is not aware that they're not engaging the other person. Emotional Intelligence and social awareness are critical components in cultivating social savvy and the success that comes with it.

It doesn't take a lot of intelligence nor is it an ego booster when you realize that what you think is a great story you've been telling is actually driving someone to the brink of a coma with boredom. However, with proper training and conscious effort, you will commit this social crime a lot less often and probably improve your popularity if you do something about those telltale signs of boredom as soon as they arrive on the scene. The critical point, of course, is being able to recognize boredom at its first blush.

Below are seven nonverbal signals you'll want to pick up on quickly about emotional intelligence and body language so you won't be considered boring by others:

Remember; consider the entire context of body language. Don't put too much meaning in a single gesture. Rather, notice the eyes, head, arms, body, the whole body; this allows you to "read" their messages in the proper context. With a little self- training, you'll become a master at understanding if you are boring people when you speak.

ARE YOU BORING, BODY LANGUAGE TIP #1: Rotating the head from side to side. You know, like there's a cramp in the neck. While the side to side bob should raise your radar, rest assured that the good old nod up and down pretty much means what you think it means. The person you're talking with is with you and, assuming there's eye contact, is also agreeing with your take on the matter.

ARE YOU BORING, BODY LANGUAGE TIP #2: Keeping hands hidden. The main reason we shake hands and military people salute, by the way, is to show that we're unarmed. Hidden hands might suggest some kind of breakdown in communication if accompanied with a severe break in eye contact.

ARE YOU BORING, BODY LANGUAGE TIP #3: Emotional intelligence skills gathered through training will help you realize what "micro gestures" mean. Narrowing the eyes with the head turning away from you. Not only might you be boring them, but if they also shake their heads, they may be second guessing your honesty or sincerity.

ARE YOU BORING, BODY LANGUAGE TIP #4: Eyes glazed over. Yes, it's the most obvious sign of boredom, and it doesn't take much social awareness to recognize this one. The unfocused eyes are not a good sign, especially when their facial expression fails to even come close to matching your own expression at the moment.

Those zoned out, non-blinking eyes with emotion-free facial clues tell you that, wherever their mind is right now, it's not on what you just said.

ARE YOU BORING, BODY LANGUAGE TIP #5: Emotional intelligence training, also indicates that rubbing the ears, eyes, or nose while turning slightly away from you and even shuffling the feet can indicate that someone is bored with you. They may be trying to put a physical barrier between themselves and you.

ARE YOU BORING, BODY LANGUAGE TIP #6: Picking at their clothes as eye contact stays persistently broken or looking around the room. Are they smoothing wrinkles that aren't there? Removing link only they can see? Inside they may be thinking when is this person going to stop talking, and do I need to fake cardiac arrest to get out of this conversation? Gently turn the talk back their way.

ARE YOU BORING, BODY LANGUAGE TIP #7: Showing a clinched fist with tightened facial muscles. Yikes! How long have you been talking? The frustration has escalated. Quickly, before they do something drastic, let them talk!

Of course, it's impossible to assume an entire conversation behind a single gesture, and there's no reason at all for you to take offense at a single one of these signals in isolation.

Like words themselves, body language in the form of gestures must be interpreted as part of the entire communications package. What else are these people doing? Be sure to look at the whole picture before rushing to conclusions. Develop your skills in emotional intelligence training so you will become more socially aware and less socially boring.

And remember, of course, when in doubt, it's always a good idea to toss the conversational ball back in their court to keep them engaged in the conversation and minimize boredom!

The Art of Self-Publishing: pitfalls and promises of taking your own book to print

In August 2009, the result of years of work came out in English, in South Africa, as Spots of a Leopard on being a man. What I had started in 2001, saw a climax in April 2007 with the publication of the Dutch edition for the Netherlands and Belgium. Vlekken van een luipaard' was nominated one year later for awards in both Belgium and the Netherlands.

These nominations strengthened my resolve to make sure this book would also find an audience in the English-speaking world; and especially in Africa. So: in August 2009 there it was: my self published copy of "Spots". I had done something the established publishers hadn't dared.

I've learned the hard way that, when dealing with established publishers, a few things really don't work when you want to take your matter to print.
1) They need months to read a few pages. While a manuscript collects dust on their desk, there is not a lot one can do but wait. And waiting for other people's decisions is n ot really my strongest character asset, I noticed.
2) They judge a book according to criteria mostly set up by their accountants and financial managers; these are usually individuals who know a lot about mathematics and statistics, but have zilch feeling for creativity, social relevancy or contemporary needs of a society. For them a niche is something to be desperately avoided.

However, publishers have networks which no individual author has. They have deals with the big book chains, so their books end up on tables near the front door. At a fee, of course. They also have channels to distribute, nationally and internationally. And they have their own favorite reviewers at newspapers, TV-stations and radio.

Self-publishing
After yet another No, we won't bring Spots to the market', I decided in March 2009 to then do it myself. The translation was halfway done, I had found an editor to weed out the mistakes and a designer to do the layout. Of course, although they were and are friends, all of that at a fee.

Most difficult was it to find a distributor. The big ones can't waste their time on a small publisher they won't even reply to emails. And most small distributors with a vague interest in scanning the market for stuff not picked up by the big players however, do also not have the time to engage with unknown names.
This problem of communication will remain, even after signing a contract. I'm at my second distributor now and am considering taking away all my books out of their stock since they simply can't be bothered to pick up the phone. Let alone to make payments when payments are due.

Without those distributors no chain will even consider stocking a book from a small publisher. There are simply too many people out there who, like me, think they wrote something worthwhile, who are eager to follow up on the well-being of their work.

Finally, a mere two weeks before I was about to go to print did I find a distributor willing to take me and my book on. This crucial step meant Spots' would find a way to bookshelves.

Going to print
The moment I'd found a distributor I dared taking it all a few steps further. I now needed to generate as much publicity as possible. And it worked. Previews would appear in major publications and magazines; I organised radio interviews and launches. And the feedback so far was positive.

Knowing about this upcoming exposure, I decided to up the print run from 1,000 to 2,000. Raising the print run meant the per copy prize would go down. Which was good for either my pocket, or for the retail prize.
I invested about 7,500 ($ 10,000) in making sure Spots' would see the light of day. Most of this was for the printers, another batch for the designer and a third batch for the editor. A magic amount of money, enough to buy a decent second hand car. Or to survive on for a year

The first results were encouraging.
And now, in late 2010, more than a year after the launch?

I have sold about 1200 copies. Most of those I sold myself at presentations, debates and seminars. There are about 800 copies left. I will not be sold out any time soon. My profit per copy sold to bookshops is about 2,00 ($ 2.50), with most of the revenues going to the bookshops.

Now my book is for sale via Amazon as both a print-on-demand as well as a Kindle-edition. Through another provider it's even available at Barnes & Nobles in the US and globally for the Sony e-reader too.

Hindsight
When I take stock of all of this, looking back I see where and when I took decisions that I should have taken differently. Most important of those is: I should have printed less copies. Less copies would have increased the price-per-copy for me, and therefore would have limited my profit-per-book, but it would also have meant less of an overall financial risk. I should have gone for a first print run of maybe 700 copies, and then move to print-on-demand. That way I'd have limited my financial risk dramatically.
Another crucial point: I overestimated the possibilities for international sales. 'Going abroad' is a whole different ball game altogether.
Learning curve
All in all the experience of self-publishing has been a great learning-curve.
* Trying to enter a market that is as small as it is in South Africa, with many, many, many peculiarities and struck by a deeply engrained culture of non-communication and sloppiness is, I find, an audacious endeavour.
* The circle of book professionals simply is too tight-knit for relative outsiders to be able to crack open the walls around the ivory towers.
* The market of book-buyers (amounting to allegedly only 700 thousand individuals in the entire country) is too small a pond for too many fish.
* With a few very clear and outstanding exceptions (especially amongst the independent bookshops like The Book Lounge and Clarke's Books) most booksellers see books as a commodity no different from your average pack of Omo washing powder.
* The book industry in South Africa thinks it exists on an island with a few colonies far bey ond the horizon (the US and the UK), with nothing in between; they lack the slightest sense of African-ness and are unaware of this vast continent at their feet. It is impossible for any individual to make a dent in this short-sighted approach
* For me as the author/publisher it has shown crucial to not rely on anybody else for anything. No one will ever be as passionate about my product as I myself will ever be, and those needed to assist in sales will most likely not even read one line of what they're selling, so they have no idea what it is they are supposed to sell.
* Another crucial lesson: start small, with a low print-run and see how that goes. It is indeed way better to make less of a per-copy-profit than believing in the phantom of great turn-overs. If sales go well, one can always decide to take a calculated risk a bit later on.
* Any self-publisher will lack almost everything that helps established publishing houses to reach their market no matt er how good (or average) your book is.

Final word
Had I known all this before I went to print, would I still have self-published?
Yes, I would.
Mostly because of the incredible joy of the entire production process from start till end (which never comes, by the way).
So, if you're contemplating publishing your own book: go for it.
But go one small step at a time.
And do have a calculator nearby.

Another crucial point is that I overestimated the possibilities for international sales. I had expected, and hoped, that Spots' would find an audience in Africa as a whole, and maybe even would find a way to the North'. That has not happened. The marketing and distribution networks simply do not exist in Africa. All my book sales in Nairobi were generated by me, while journeying to Nairobi, with boxes of books as excess baggage. There simply are no trade channels in the book industry between South Africa and East Africa. As a bookshop owner in Nairobi told me: It's easier and cheaper to buy books in the UK and fly them in, then it is to do so from South Africa."
